Making Connections |

Immigration The United States of America is known as the "Melting Pot" since so many of our relatives came to this country from other countries. As part of the student's study of the Northeast, grade 4 students learn about Ellis Island and the influx of Immigrants. To help make this lesson more meaningful students in Mrs. Wiersema's class interviewed a family member to learn of their past. An organizational map was used to organize their information. Click to learn about each student's chosen relative. |
