Dear Griswold School Community Members,
Welcome back!
This website is designed to help you learn more about our school. Please refer to it to confirm school hours, days off and other areas of concern. Updates and specific dates for various school events will be printed monthly in the Griswold Gazette. Please also refer to our updated Family Handbook for additional information. Of course, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call the school.
We will continue to work on improving literacy instruction in our school and district. Last year we published a new literacy framework for teachers in grades K 5. This year will be our first year of implementation. We are looking forward to these positive changes.
We have also published a new “Code of Conduct” for our students. Please review this with your child(ren). It is:
Griswold students:
♥ Are respectful
♥ Are caring
♥ Are honest
♥ Make things better
Our goal is to help students be a positive influence within the school building and beyond.
Our school’s successes are magnified with your help. Please attend Parents Club and UpBeat Team meetings on the first Monday of each month. Volunteers are often recruited for the Eagle Publishing Center, the Library-Media Center and for classrooms. The partnership that exists between home and school results in an overall positive learning experience at Griswold School.
We are all looking forward to another successful year with you and your children!
Sincerely yours,
Laurie A. Gjerpen Eric E. Carbone
