New as of January, 2002 is an outstanding website devoted to the integration of technology and literacy. Created and maintained by Dr. Donald J. Leu and Julie Coiro at the University of Connecticut, the Literacy Web is designed to promote the use of the Internet as a tool to assist classroom teachers in their search for best practices in literacy instruction, including the new literacies of Internet technologies. Check it out for some great ideas in the area of literacy.
